The work is the same: code-sized opening, well with ladder, drainage, permit, inspection. The planning is different: rear-yard access, patio protection, and the HOA's exterior alteration process, which Kingstowne takes seriously. Townhome rear yards are compact, and the well needs its 36 inches of projection plus digging room. We use compact equipment, protect the patio and fence, and restore the grade when we are done. End units with side access are easiest; interior units take more choreography — we have done both.
